Your Second Visit to Our Knoxville Practice

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.

On the second visit, we will briefly go into what we have found in your exam and x-ray findings and begin your treatment.  Our office staff will guide you through some things that will help to maximize your treatment, and the doctor will give you your first adjustment.

A more thorough report is done on the following visit, where we will help you to have a better understanding about the human body, how the spine works, how to look at x-rays, and how chiropractic can help you, so that you will have a better understanding when you view your own x-rays.

This is usually attended to on your second visit, which may be later the same day or the following day. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things:

  • Reduces the length of your first visit
  • Gives us time to correlate our findings
  • Avoids overloading you with too much information

In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of the doctor, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.

Dr. David Asks some important questions of interest to Knoxville residents - Chiropractor Knoxville Dr. David Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Where do most Knoxville residents get their first vertebral subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of vertebral subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Knoxville newborn.
